To replace the CR2032 battery in this unit:
Remove the emergency key from the bottom of the fob by pressing the key release button on the side or back of the unit.
Once you remove the emergency key from the bottom of the key fob, you can pry the back cover off the key fob.
(I have seen this done using the emergency key itself or a large screwdriver)
Once the back cover is off, the battery housing inside will be revealed and you'll be able to easily replace the battery in the unit.
You may need a small screwdriver to help pry the battery out.
Should you purchase the fob from Car and Truck Remotes, there is no need to open the unit when you receive it.
We include a new battery already installed in the fob.
