Yes, the key fob remote must be professionally programmed when received by a local automotive locksmith (click here for Locksmith Search ). We do not recommend going to a dealer, as they may decline programming an aftermarket remote for you. Emergency insert key also needs to be cut.
When ordering a key fob, you should order one that matches your original unit in shape and button configuration.
If you are unsure, please call your local dealership with the car's VIN to ask for the part number to ensure compatibility.
