This fob is listed to work with the 2008 SL550 model; however, the key must be put in manually and turned to start the car. You must also press the buttons for the car to lock/unlock. It will not work with the passive entry feature.
This transmitter will work on vehicles equipped with Push to Start / Stop button on the dashboard and standard keyless entry system (Push to Start button has to be removed and the key fob inserted, in order for you to start your vehicle. Proximity start and proximity entry will not work).
