The referenced product is an empty replacement case/shell. They key must be cut by a locksmith, but there is no programming required as you are using your existing (programmed) remote board inside this unit.
If you were to buy a complete new unit, it would require cutting and programming by a locksmith in your area.
We do not recommend going to the dealership for programming. We recommend a locksmith do the programming and cutting.
Please search by year, make, and model and be sure to read the entire product description before purchasing.
Be sure you are buying the complete unit and not just the case/shell.
