Indestructible replacement remote D-SHELL case for FORD remote head key OEM Part: 164-R8073, strattec: 5912512. No remote or transponder chip included. If your key broke off, or the case is broken, you can simply replace your old case/key on your old remote. The hardest part is to open your existing key in order to remove the remote. Your original Ford case is glued. You will have to use a utility knife in order to open your broken key. Just take the insides out (green remote board) and put them in this new shell. Our D-SHELL replacement case with does NOT need any glue. You just need to squeeze both parts together. When it clicks you know you are done. Now just take it to an automotive locksmith or hardware store to have the key cut to match your existing key. If you take the remote with transponder chip from your old working remote and put it in to this new case - there is no programming needed. Aftermarket item made by GTL Global Tescpro. Please compare your remote button configuration with this unit to make sure it fits.
