Programming Instructions for 2004 Dodge Stratus Remote Fob
This programming procedure requires you to already have at least 1 working remote transmitter for your Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep(. If you do not have anyremote transmitters you must get this new one programmed by a qualified locksmith or dealership.Please review the procedure before attempting programming. There are 2 possible programming procedures available. Please try procedure 1 first. Ifthat does not work, use procedure 2
Programming procedure #1.
Obtain all remote transmitters for this vehicle. Sit in vehicle with all doors closed and the driver's seatbelt on. Make sure no one else is in the vehicle.
1. Put key in ignition and turn ignition switch to ON position (last stop before cranking the engine).
2. Press and hold UNLOCK on a currently functioning remote for 4 to 10 seconds.
3. While holding the UNLOCK button during the 4 to 10 second period, press the panic button for one second and release both buttons at the same time. A
chime should sound within three seconds to indicate the vehicle has entered programming mode.
4. Press the Unlock button on the remote used in step 3. You should hear an audible tone indicating that remote has been re-programmed. This step must be done within 30 seconds of hearing first chime in step 3.
5. Within 30 seconds - Press the Unlock button on the next remote.
-Repeat step 5. for all additional remotes including working remotes
6. Programming is now complete. Turn ignition off and test remotes to ensure proper programming.
Programming Procedure #2
Obtain all remote transmitters for this vehicle. Sit in vehicle with all doors closed and the driver's seatbelt on. Make sure no one else is in the vehicle.
1. Put key in ignition and turn ignition switch to ON position (as far as you can turn key without cranking engine).
2. Press and hold UNLOCK on a currently functioning remote for 4 to 10 seconds.
3. While holding the UNLOCK button during the 4 to 10 second period, press the panic button for one second and release both buttons at the same time. A
chime should sound within three seconds to indicate the vehicle has entered programming mode.
4. Press the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons simultaneously on the same remote used in step 3. then release. You should hear an audible tone indicating that the remote was recognized. Once tone is heard press and release the UNLOCK button on that remote. A chime should sound indicating that the remote has been programmed. This must be done within 30 seconds of step 3.
5. Within 30 seconds - Press the LOCK and UNLOCK button on the next remote then release. You should hear an audible tone indicating that the remote was recognized. Once tone is heard press and release the UNLOCK button on that remote. A chime should sound indicating that the remote has been programmed. Repeat step 5. for all additional remotes including working remotes.
6. Programming is now complete. Turn ignition off and test remotes to ensure proper programming.
Key Programming Information for 2004 Dodge Stratus
Have all keys for the Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep ready - You must have two working programmed or original keys to use this procedure.1. Insert first programmed key into the ignition and turn ignition switch to ON. Wait for approximately 3 seconds then turnignition to OFF and remove key.
2. Within 15 seconds of removing first key insert second programmed key into ignition and turn ignition switch to ON. Waitapproximately 10 seconds. You will see the immobilizer warning lamp illuminate on the dash and you will hear an audible tone.Turn ignition OFF and remove the key.
3. Within 50 seconds insert the new unprogrammed key into ignition. Turn ignition switch to ON. After approximately 10 secondsyou should hear an audible tone and the immobilizer lamp will remain illuminated for 3 seconds. Once this occurs programming iscompleted.
4. For each additional key you must repeat these steps starting with step number 1.
