Programming Instructions Step by Step:

Programming with a recognized Transmitter:

Canadian owners see locksmith or dealer.

IMPORTANT: This procedure is not available when the maximum number of 4 fobs have been programmed. If 4 key fobs are programmed to this RCDLR and this method is attempted, the driver information center (DIC) will display, MAX FOBS LEARNED and the programming procedure will exit.

This procedure will add key fobs. Fobs will be numbered in sequence based on when they are programmed; if 2 fobs are currently programmed to the RCDLR, a fob programmed using this method will be numbered as Fob3. This procedure requires that you have a known good key fob, a replacement key fob, and the vehicle's mechanical key.

1. The vehicle must be off.

2. Place a known key fob and the new un-programmed key fob within the interior of the vehicle.

3.At the rear of the vehicle, insert the vehicle key into the rear compartment lock cylinder, located above the license plate. Open the trunk and cycle the key 5 times within5 seconds.

4. The DIC will display: READY FOR FOB X (X = fob 2, 3, or 4).

5. Place the new un-programmed key fob in the glove box fob pocket with the buttons facing passenger side.

6. A beep will occur and the DIC will display:READY FOR FOB X (X =fob 3 or 4) orMAX FOBS LEARNED.

7. Press the OFF/ACC portion of the ignition switch to exit programming mode.

8. Test remote.

Programming without a recognized Transmitter:

Canadian owners see locksmith or dealer.

1. The vehicle must be off.

2. Place the new un-programmed key fob in the glove box transmitter pocket with the buttons facing passenger side.

3. At the rear of the vehicle, insert the vehicle key into the rear compartment lock cylinder, located above the license plate. Open the trunk and cycle the key 5 times within 5 seconds.

4. The DIC message will display OFF-ACCESSORY TO LEARN.

5. Press ignition switch.

6. The DIC will read WAIT 10 MINUTES and will count down to zero, one minute at a time.

7.The DIC will display OFF-ACCESSORY TO LEARN again.

8. Press ignition switch.

9. The DIC will read WAIT 10 MINUTES and will count down to zero, one minute at a time.

10. The DIC will display OFF-ACCESSORY TO LEARN again.

11. Press ignition switch.

12. The DIC will read WAIT 10 MINUTES and will count down to zero, one minute at a time.

13. A beep will sound and the DIC will read READY FOR FOB #1. At this time, all previously programmed key fobs have been erased.

14. Once the key fob is recognized and programmed, a beep will sound and the DIC will display READY FOR FOB #2.

15. If you have additional key fobs to program, take key fob #1 out of the transmitter pocket and place key fob #2 in the pocket. This can be done repeatedly until up to 4 key fobs have been programmed. The DIC will then display MAX # FOBS LEARNED and will exit the programming mode.

When you are done programming key fobs press the ignition switch.
